IRIS and A1 Company Services collaborate to deliver
new service for accountants
IRIS’ joint venture with A1 Company Services
is set to deliver what accountants need – the ability to apply for
a corporate bank account for their clients as ‘part and parcel’ of
any new company formation.
Accountants using IRIS Company Formations to
enable the quick and simple incorporation of companies will now be
able to set up a corporate bank account with Barclays that is fully
operational within 7 days of the ID process being completed.
The latest version of IRIS Company Formations
(www.iris.co.uk), Version 8.9, includes a menu option that submits
the request and automatically transfers the relevant data, i.e.
company name, officers, subscribers and signatories in an encrypted
file to A1, who manage the application.
It is good news all round. Accountants can now
offer their clients a new and particularly useful ‘added value’
service which saves their clients, both time and effort.
There is no application form to complete and more
importantly, no interview required.
The joint venture also provides a welcome
financial incentive in the form of a £20 payment to the accountant
for each bank account opened and clients benefit with the offer of
12 months free banking.
Robert Salvoni, Managing Director of IRIS
Accountancy Practice Solutions said: “Our focus is to continually
look at ways of supporting the accountancy profession with tools
that will increase productivity and provide new ‘value added’
opportunities.
“IRIS Company Formations is one of the fastest
growing products in the IRIS practice portfolio because it
accelerates the completion of Companies House forms and allows the
formation of companies electronically.
“This will make sound financial sense to any
accountant as the £20 incentive negates all costs associated with
the process i.e. £15 for an electronic incorporation with Companies
House and a £5 charge for setting up a company using the IRIS
software.”
