The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art has placed an
order for the IRIS Exchequer Accounting and Business System as a
result of a first meeting at the recent Softworld Exhibition.
Although the Academy had, in principle, made
up their minds to specify another, the IRIS Exchequer team managed
to persuade them to at least look at the award winning financial
management system. The result: an order for a full financial system
comprising modules for Core Financials, Project Costing, Paperless,
Sentimail for proactive alerts that can be sent by e-mail and text,
the Visual Report Writer and Payroll. The full and
comprehensive integration between the accounting system and the
payroll system was central to the decision to implement IRIS
Exchequer as it removed any risk of data mismatches and errors.
Cyril Wood, Director of Finance and
Administration for the Academy said: “We were most impressed with
the level of expertise demonstrated by the IRIS Exchequer team at
Softworld. Their in-depth understanding of accounting procedures
persuaded us to take the discussion further.”
The implementation of the IRIS Exchequer
system is expected to return significant time savings for the
Finance department, especially with the ease of reporting. Cyril
particularly likes the links to Excel that are a feature of the
accounting system and he commented: “If you are familiar with Excel
and the way in which it works, it means there is no learning curve.
We are not a big organisation and the amount of time we have to
spare in each day is extremely limited, so we need a system that is
easy to use and will save us time. IRIS Exchequer won on three
counts: its ease of reporting, its integrated payroll system and
its cost.”
It is the first visit to Softworld for 3 years for the IRIS
Exchequer team. Stuart Dawson, Managing Director commented: “We are
delighted that the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art has
specified IRIS Exchequer as its system of choice. This particular
order win is an excellent example of the way in which Exhibitions
can bring potential customers and suppliers together. We are
looking forward to a long and successful relationship with the
Academy.”
