IRIS could be adding to its trophy cabinet after being
short listed for the prestigious ‘Practice Management Software of
the Year’ award by leading accountancy publication, Accountancy
Age.
This is the first year that ‘Practice
Management Software’ has been included in the Awards, seen by many
as a long overdue addition to the category list.
In order to be short listed, IRIS
(www.iris.co.uk) had to display how it helps accountancy practices
to ease the management of their own practices, supported by
excellent customer services. Entrants are ranked by the product
quality and design as well as the ease of use for their clients.
Entrants must also show an ability to deliver good customer
care.
IRIS is the only significant vendor in the
accountancy practice software market to adopt the integrated
approach which yields a number of significant user benefits
including instant visibility through the IRIS Practice Management
central client dashboard of all activities on a client by client
basis. This enables practice staff to respond immediately to
client queries.
IRIS Practice Management
incorporates:
- An intelligent workflow system to track each
stage of a job providing instant visibility with links to other
products in the IRIS practice suite including IRIS Personal Tax,
IRIS Business Tax, IRIS Accounts Production, IRIS Company
Secretarial, IRIS Company Formations, IRIS Auditor and IRIS Time
& Fees
- A Communication tracking facility for easy
and automatic searching/tracking of client communications and
documents to achieve a ‘paperless’ environment
- A data mining system enabling the client base
to be sorted by specific criteria such as turnover, employee
numbers, tax return information – a fantastic marketing
tool
IRIS Practice Management is the market leader
with a market share of 39%, an increase of 2% since 2004 with its
closest competitor holding a 15% market share. (Source;
Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)
survey published January 2007).
In the ICAEW Survey of IT in accountancy
practices 2007, IRIS Practice Management beat off all the
competition to achieve the highest overall rating in terms of:
- Reliability
- Initial Service
- Ongoing support
- Fewest failures in a business critical
sense
- Highest number of accountants said they would
recommend
The results of this highly respected survey
are completely independent of any vendor influence and represent a
real insight into the customer experience.
The winner will be announced at the
Accountancy Age Awards Dinner on the 14th November at
Battersea Park Arena.
