The Kensington Holiday Inn is to enhance its financial operation
with the implementation of the IRIS Exchequer Financial Management
system. The 162 bedroom Hotel has specified Exchequer in a move
that will allow the Financial Department to gain faster access to
highly accurate information through the award winning system’s*
advanced reporting capabilities.
The order is for a 5 user full financial system comprising modules
for stock control and payroll. The full integration between the
accounting and the payroll system was an important consideration
for the Hotel in their decision process.
Following an intensive evaluation process, Financial Controller,
Steven Luff and his team selected Exchequer because of its ability
to provide multi-dimensional analysis with the option to drill down
to the original transaction to gain a real understanding of each
cost centre.
Steven commented on the decision: “We have been searching for some
time for a financial management system that would allow us to move
away from DOS and across to a Windows based system. IRIS Exchequer
(www.iris.co.uk/exchequer) has excellent links with Excel which
will allow us far greater control over what we do and provide us
with a level of accuracy we can rely on. With our current system,
we waste considerable time printing reports before we can evaluate
whether the data entered is, in fact, correct.”
The integrated nature of the system will support the team’s need
for access to timely and accurate information across the entire
business.
Before confirming the order, Steven took the time to speak to other
users and colleagues who work in the hotel industry and they
endorsed his decision to specify IRIS Exchequer,
wholeheartedly.
The system is expected to go live in July 2008.
*The IRIS Exchequer System has won the title ‘Financial Software
Provider of the Year’ for the third time. Finance Directors voted
Exchequer their financial system of choice in Real FD’s Annual
Satisfaction Survey giving them top marks for the quality of the
on-going support they receive.
