PTP Personal Tax products have scooped one of the most coveted
prizes in the tax industry beating off stiff competition to win the
‘Best Tax Software’ Award in the LexisNexis Taxation Awards
2008.
Now in its
eighth year, the Awards are held in association with LexisNexis and
honour those organisations that have made an outstanding
contribution in the field of taxation.
The Taxation awards are recognised as the
‘gold standard’ for tax teams throughout the UK. To win the ‘Best
Tax Software’ Award, PTP had to demonstrate a proven ability to
provide reliable and accurate software that assists tax advisers in
their work. Judges look primarily for ease of use, a unique
approach and an innovative attitude.
Great importance is placed on re-investing
back into R & D to ensure PTP Software continues to offer its
users technological innovation and advanced functionality. The
company is also able to take advantage of the backing and support
provided by IRIS, the largest privately owned software business in
the UK.
The win confirms the results of independent
research carried out by the ICAEW in 2007 where PTP’s Personal Tax
product, Tax Return, achieved the highest overall rating coming top
overall in terms of performance; ease of use and on going support.
The survey also shows that PTP is growing its market share at the
expense of its competitors including Digita and Sage.
Paul Onions, Operations Director said: “The
level of competition tonight was extremely high but I am thrilled
that the judges recognise the unique approach PTP takes to tax
software. We always aim to deliver the highest levels of service to
our customers. The latest software release has been
challenging, not just for us but for the whole industry due to the
wholesale changes to the tax forms by HMRC, and we do appreciate
the patience shown by our customers on the support lines.”
PTP Tax software literally grew out of the
lecture room and incorporates many suggestions made by tax
practitioners and accountants: a factor which has helped to
encourage loyalty to the package and has helped it to achieve one
of the highest retention rates in the industry.
