The Business Application Software Developers
Association (BASDA) has appointed Andrew Dove, Legislation Manager
for IRIS Payroll and HR Solutions, as Vice Chair of its HR and
Payroll Special Interest Group.
Andrew has been an active member of BASDA for the last 7 years and
a member of British Computer Society Payroll Specialist Group for
the last 20 years.
His background in the development of payroll software will be
invaluable in his new role with BASDA. Andrew developed the ‘Bonus’
payroll system, originally released in 1983, which was the first to
be officially recognised by HMRC in its NCC accreditation
scheme.
Over the last 10 years Andrew has become increasingly involved in
legislation issues and works tirelessly as Legislation Manager to
ensure that the IRIS payroll products comply with ever changing
regulations.
‘BASDA is the acknowledged voice of the software applications
industry and is recognised by the UK Government, the European
Commission and the United Nations and it is a real honour to be
selected for this role,’ commented Andrew.
Catherine Venus, Managing Director of IRIS Payroll and HR Solutions
said: “Andrew has accumulated a real wealth of knowledge over the
last 27 years which will prove invaluable in his new role at BASDA.
We are all delighted for him.”
